What is Hatha Yoga?
Hatha yoga is a calming, relaxing form of yoga that utilizes a lot of gentle stretching exercises, focuses on breathing and meditation, and performing simple yoga poses that move fluidly, flowing from one pose to the next. These position changes are made at a slow, easy rate. Students are encouraged to move at their own pace, while focusing on the breathing and meditation involved in the yoga poses.

Therefore, hatha yoga is referred to as the style of yoga that focuses on uniting opposites and balancing those opposites and balancing positive and negative energies.
Hatha yoga attempts to restore balance in the body, mind, and spirit, by using yoga poses that are referred to as Asana. These poses were created for meditation practices and were believed to improve physical health. Asana poses improve flexibility and strengthen bones and muscles. Mental rewards include strengthening the student's willpower and ability to focus and concentrate.
Hatha yoga is also said to empower its followers to find hidden physical strengths and mental potential. In turn, a person should feel more calm and peaceful when they are in a stressful situation. The relaxation techniques taught through Hatha yoga are also believed to open energy channels and allow spiritual energy to be released in the body. The poses in hatha yoga are supposed to massage and tone the internal organs, preventing diseases including diabetes, arthritis, and high blood pressure.
